Kenneth A. Griggs is a scientist, engineer, and innovator whose career spans aerospace engineering, software development, theoretical physics, and independent research into the foundations of reality. Academic Foundations
Kenneth earned his Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Theoretical Physics, from Princeton University. He then pursued graduate studies at the University of Maryland, where he completed his M.S. in Theoretical Physics. During this time, he was mentored by two of the great minds in modern physics: Professor Sylvester James “Jim” Gates, a leading expert in superstring theory, and Professor Alexander “Sasha” Migdal, a pioneer in simplicial quantum gravity. Their guidance helped shape Griggs’s early approach to the interplay between mathematics, physics, and the structure of reality.
Professional Career
Griggs began his career in the defense and aerospace sector, working for the Department of Defense through GE Aerospace as a software engineer. He later contributed his expertise to Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin, where he was involved in complex systems development at the cutting edge of aerospace and defense technology. His engineering background grounded him in practical, mission-critical applications of physics and computation, providing a strong foundation for his later theoretical work.
Outside of corporate engineering, Griggs also embraced entrepreneurship and creativity. He founded Imagine! Studios, a venture that reflected his drive to innovate across multiple disciplines. In 2018, he joined forces with researcher and media creator Jeremy Rys to establish Hover Brothers LLC, a company dedicated to exploring and developing breakthrough ideas in advanced physics and aerospace concepts.
The Birth of Phoenix Theory
Griggs’s most ambitious intellectual contribution is the creation of Phoenix Theory, a radical rethinking of physics he describes as the Physics of Entanglement, Networks, and Information eXchanges. Conceived as a kind of “Theory of Everything,” Phoenix is a framework that seeks to unify the diverse phenomena of the universe through the mathematics of combinatorics and discrete graph theory.
Whereas the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics represents reality through continuous quantum fields on a spacetime background, Phoenix takes a different approach.
